Skarre (attacker) vs Kaya (defender); scenario: Wild Fire.
Duur vd battle: bijna 5 uur (incl 2 x time-out vr nicotine-opslag).
Kaya had géén versterkingen mee (500pv); Skarre had 2 units extra (600+pv).

(background info voor de fluff: 't was "last stand")

Mortenebra was not in a good mood. Somehow the Cygnarians had come upon her unexpected and they had her cornered in a small shallow of the march. She did not know what side they would come from, so she had her troops in a moon formation , hoping to be able to respond swifly enough on any side. A defensively sound manoeuvre, but it would slow her down for the first contact as she would have to redirect them all to one side. The waiting began...

A nameless Deathripper's eyes were the first to see...glints of shining blue in the otherwise drab scenery of the marshland. His cortex fed it back to Mortenebra unerringly and she reacted with immediate fury. She hurled the little bonejack forwards and poured all her necromantic might through its arc node. Whilst the gunslinger Caine was still picking his way through the unstable land - undoubtedly thinking himself still unseen - a mighty VoidGate opened around him. The dreadful clap of nothingness reached to swallow him whole and Mortenebra allowed herself a smile. Surely, he could not withstand this...
Yet with his power field fully charged, the Cygnarian warcaster was able to escape immediate annihilation. Severely wounded, he launched his human troops forward to erect screens of smoke while he healed himself. Mortenbra prepared herself to do serious battle after all.
But no, wait...the very same Deathripper that had launched her first strike was still on the move, and the necrotech could feel the open channel of it's arc node, even if she could not master its cortex anymore...again, she forced the little jack forward, through the smoke screen. Seeing again her target through its visual orbs, she smiled and shrieked the incantations for another necro-spell. This time, Caine's power field was empty, used up to heal his previous wounds...the Doom Spiral ripped through him as if he were a meat puppet.
As he was blasted to the ground, the Deathripper's mind fed her images of the light fading in the enemy's warjack furnaces...
Still high on arcane power, Mortenebra surveyed her unscathed army and thought "wait till I tell Skarre about this one".

Triumphantly, she continued her trek through her marshes...

Woehaaa !...

1e maand zomer
Terminus (attacker) vs Kaya (defender); scenario: Crossed Lines; Cryx begint.

turn 1 Cryx:

turn 3 Orboros:
Final Turn; alles of niets!
2 focus op Terminus, dus: 20 armour points. Daar gaat onze poppemie:

For future reference.

2e maand zomer
Gorten (attacker) vs Kaya (defender); hex 64; scenario: King of the Hill.

"Not again!"

Niks aan te doen, volgende keer beter, revenge will be ours, etc ...

Mortenebra vs Old Witch of Khador
voor cryx objective territory

Mortenebra was desperate.
Having only just recovered from the damages the servants of Toruk’s blighted spawn had wreaked upon her army, she had launched an attack against the northernmost section of the island. Knowing that Terminus lusted after possession of the area – even if she did not know why – she had hoped that its annexation would redeem her in the Lich Lord’s eyes for the land she had lost to Everblight’s minions.
But the situation looked dire indeed…she had been waylaid unexpectedly by the old crone of Khador. Before he could strike, the cankerworm had been reduced to rubble by huge men with bearskins, charging forward with abandon. A tangle of sharp metallic things had immediately after risen from the ground, pinning most of her army in place. Screaming with rage over the worm’s destruction, Mortenebra had pushed several thralls out of her path, paying no heed to their death gurgles as they were spiked by their surroundings. She launched forwards with her reaper, weathering the sharp pains caused by their movement. Reaper took aim at the Scrap Jack and Mortenebra was ready to fuel the reaper with all her power once the Khadorian jack lay at its feet. Curses upon that old Witch! It must be some foul magic of hers, because even with the helljack’s careful aim, it missed! She had exposed the reaper for naught and immediately she had to pay the price as more heavily armed troops surged forwards and battered the Reaper into shreds. Even so, she could hear screams from Maelevolus as he lost one of his iron liches. Another one of her backup plans destroyed...
Exposed to the oncoming charge and with only a few bonejacks left to her, Mortenebra felt close to crying for the first time in decades.

Unless…

Unless…

There was one of her bonejacks who was unengaged, but she could see no clear path to the Witch. Khador’s heavily armed troops blocked every passageway between the large rocks that littered the desolate landscape. But the distance in itself was not too far for the Deathripper to cross in a single run.
With renewed zeal she aligned her troops. She touched Deryliss’s mind with her own and the skarlock moved immediately, knowing what to do. It canted a few dark words and shortly after the bonejack seemed to flicker out of existence. Only a ghostly reflection of its solid self, it launched forward, seemingly trying to smash itself against the rocks. Upon reaching the rocks however, the ripper’s faint form disappeared into the rockface, to emerge on the other side. As it kept running, the demolitioners swung their heavy axes, but the impressive weapons found no purchase on the shimmering carapace of the bonejack. Finally, it halted, well clear of any enemy’s weapon and with a clear line of sight to the crone.
Mortenebra gathered in all the power should could find. Carefully rebalancing her joints and arcane conduits, she ensured an increased chance of success for all her endeavours. She focused her dark power and lanced out through the deathripper. Once. Twice. It was enough…Zhevanna was no match for such a furious barrage of arcane might and crumpled to the ground. Mortenebra howled a cackling laugh and made ready to destroy the rest of the army. The greylord in the witch’s company however was quick to respond. Recognizing the battle for lost , he gathered up Zhevanna’s limp form in his arms, even as his jack charged forwards to do the same for the hated scrapjack. He yelled out orders, and both the bear-men and the demolitioners withdrew in orderly fashion, blocking any possibility of another quick charge.
Realizing she was in no shape for a pursuit herself, Mortenebra only watched as the Khadorians retreated….
